Sacred Cacao Circle
Cacao (kakaw) is presence. It is connection. It is love. It is honouring. It is medicine.
13 September 1.30-5.30pm, Caversham
Every moment and interaction is a ritual, it is honouring history, nature, our ancestors — all of them,
Every action holds an intention, from the moment the earth is prepared, to the way it reaches your hands in a cup — and that is what gives it its ceremonial grace.
Kakaw respects its origin, its history, and its Mayan legacy.
Drinking this kakaw is also a ritual.
It is a journey of recognition and gratitude.
It is an opportunity to realize that you are part of something much greater, that everything and everyone is connected.
It is a path toward your interior, accompanied by the love and light of grandmother kakaw.
Who, with her wisdom and subtlety, guides you.
To recognize yourself.
To let yourself breathe and allow a pause.
To have an encounter with yourself.
A moment of intimacy to feel yourself.
A conversation in silence.
A shared dance at the rhythm you need to heal and evolve.
We invite you to this special event while Estef is visiting the UK for a few weeks.
By invitation only. (Please don't share the link without asking Tessa first)
At the Canoe Club in Caversham RG4 7TH
Please note that Early Bird tickets are non-refundable but can be transferred to someone after approval with Tessa (circle experience is required to attend). Other tickets are refundable with one month’s notice. Low household income means that the whole household income is low rather than you as an individual.
What will happen at the Sacred Kakaw Circle?
Within the time, 1.30-5pm, we will be in circle together with opportunity at the end to catch up with friends and make new connections. Tea and treats are also an important way to ground so please do plan to stay until the end at 5.30pm.
There will be an introductory circle to say your name and find out who is in the room. Then time will be spent honing your intention for the gathering through guided meditation and journaling.
Through Listening Partnerships in pairs we can explore what our hearts need at this time and start to find the right words to express for the sharing of kakaw that Estef has brought from Mexico.
There will be an abundance of heart-felt practices to connect with yourself within this sacred space.
At the end, Tessa will guide a Yoga Nidra so that we can all integrate the wisdom from the kakaw and the experience before going back into the world.
Tessa has been teaching in this venue for 12 years and held ceremonies so it’s a special place to come together in community.
Estef Farah is a Corporate and Pachamama Witch — a strategist, Gestalt psychotherapist, and menstrual cycle mentor who bridges the boardroom and the sacred, weaving menstruality wisdom, cyclical consciousness, and ancestral knowing into organizations, communities, and individual lives.
A Mexican-Lebanese woman, she is, at her core, a bridge-builder — between cultures, between worlds, between communities, honouring the roots that have shaped her. Her work reaches women, adolescents, parents, and corporate leaders, and includes the facilitation of cacao ceremonies, honouring the ancient and sacred Mayan wisdom from which this medicine comes.
She believes that true transformation begins when we return to ourselves — and that from that deep inner connection, circular leadership and the power of the collective truly come alive.

You can have as little as you feel suits you. A sip or two can also be sufficient. It’s the intention and the connection to the plant beforehand that is important.
-
The reason that the event is invitation only is that this can be a deep transformational process and having experienced some form of circle time is helpful to build the overall container that Estef and Tessa will make to hold the process.
-
Nearer the time, clear instructions will be given of what to bring, such as something to represent your ancestors. It’s nothing to worry about - items can be symbolic.
You will be asked to bring a yoga mat and a couple of cushions for the Yoga Nidra part, and anything that will help you sit comfortably on the floor. Chairs are also available.

Cacao is a nutrient-dense superfood packed with antioxidants, minerals, and natural stimulants. When consumed in moderation, it benefits the body by supporting cardiovascular health, boosting brain function and elevating mood.
However, it’s also much more than that. It’s a heart opener: energising, emotionally and even euphoric.
However, overconsumption can lead to digestive discomfort, headaches, or jitters so you have not tried it before less is more! Estef will guide you.
