How to be inclusive of aphantasia, anauralia and other cognitive differences (at least 1 in 20 people)

Welcome! Please choose a date…

Fortunately neurodiversity is higher up the agenda than it used to be. There’s more awareness that one size definitely doesn’t fit all, resulting in teachers of meditation, yoga and other modalities giving more permission to move around, keep eyes open etc.

In this mini training, I will be talking about the less well known cognitive differences of aphantasia (inability to create mental imagery) and anauralia (inability to replay sounds mentally) as well as other differences that tend to cluster with these.

It’s estimated through studies that 5-10% of people have these differences so if you have group classes or even individual clients, it’s likely you already working with these differences.

I have lived experience of both of these and have adapted the way that I teach Yoga Nidra relaxation, meditation, and somatic practices to be inclusive of these common ways that some people’s brains work!

Live sessions (recording available)

Tessa runs a 6-week training that teaches both the art and science of Yoga Nidra, enabling you to create your own relaxations from scratch specifically for your clients.

It also dives into Circle Facilitation skills that complement Yoga Nidra so well as part of the container of supporting people to feel comfortable to deeply rest.

Yoga Nidra & Circle training starts 14th September
