…and they are ready to soar?
A Transformational Training for Those Striving for real Mind-Body Integration
Welcome to the Somatic Soul Course —a life-changing, live learning experience for those who feel called to create deeper attunement and transformation.
Why Somatic?
Although we often go through life as if we are a brain on legs, we know that our nervous system is an important part of how we are in the world. Someone may be hypervigilant, lash out or disappear under stress, have a tendency to freeze, try to fit in through fawning…
When we understand the patterns of behaviour and, more importantly, have embodied practices that bring a person back to balance (a state of ‘alert relaxation’) sooner and increase their window of tolerance, their life is more enjoyable and more creative. And for everyone around them!
Why Soul?
Many of us are feeling that the World is in a precarious position right now. Cognitive dissonance happens when we feel that, but life continues as normal as if nothing is wrong.
The course won’t focus on the issues that are facing us, but on practices that will help us meet them. What if the change that is coming isn’t bad, but actually will take us to a better life where we feel more connected to each other and nature?
By being in the container of the course with other likeminded women, you will have a feeling of safety to explore how you can be different in the world and to be brave about little steps to make your community be a better place to be. And to support your clients / participants to do the same.
“If you want to change the world, first try to improve and bring about change within yourself. That will help change your family. From there it just gets bigger and bigger. Everything we do has some effect, some impact.”
If you’re here, it’s because something in you already knows:
🪶 There’s more to intelligence than IQ, different ways of knowing
🪶 Healthy power is power with, not power over others
🪶 The future is through community wellbeing not individual gain
🪶 There is great insight if we listen to & nurture our bodies
This is far more than a practical skills course.
This is a calling to work truly holistically. Starting with yourself.
This is a community to explore feminine leadership and growing into Eldership.

This training is for anyone who:
Teachers / facilitates groups, circles, workshops, or trainings

Is drawn to somatic, relational, or trauma-aware approaches
Wants to work / facilitate with more confidence, depth, and ease
No prior somatic experience required.
People who attended the Embodied Listening & Somatic Practices 2026 training will find that this course adds to your learning, covering connected but different material.
What Makes This Training Different
Whether you want to work with individuals or groups (or both), it’s important to have experience of the somatic practices yourself and know how they land in other people’s nervous systems. This course provides a powerful aspect of the embodied container you create as a facilitator or teacher, as you lend your nervous system to a client or group (co-regulation) so that they can engage with what you are sharing.
(In circle facilitation, other layers of containment come through group guidelines/ shared agreements, a suitable physical space / curated online space, working with a theme and carefully constructed questions, and signalling the length of shares.)
The 6 live sessions (1.5 hrs each) are themed to explore different types of gentle, but powerful embodiment intervention:
Session 1: Grounding (the basis for everything!)
Session 2: Calming - learning not to push through & discerning when to do less
Session 3: Uplifting energy/ system activation for those times we need to act
Session 4: Leaning into connection & community (especially when it’s hard)
Session 5: Releasing - moving charge out of the system
Session 6: Pacing, titration and composting - growing sustainably
Woven through the sessions is how to live and work cyclically, whether that’s across the year, the month (lunar/menstrually) or day (circadian).
In addition to the group sessions, you will have a 121 45-minute session with Tessa after the course to support integration of the practices into your own life or work. This may be a guided session on embodied listening, mentoring, Q&A or a mixture bespoke to you.

Katie Winterton, Yoga teacher & Circle Facilitator, 2026 training:
“I’m going to have a list of the practices we’ve learnt in my journal to call on if needed in circle. I’ve been finding all these things so helpful.
Wanted to share with you how the course is already helping with the circle I’m already running: all these tools I didn’t know I needed! I’ve created something I really love, but from the training I can add another layer to look after myself better. I’ve loved the course.”
Karen Fender, Yoga Teacher & Circle Host, 2026 training
“I would recommend this course because it offers a comprehensive guide for anyone who wants to integrate a variety of somatic practices into their work.
Some of the course's features include live in-class practices, listening partnerships, and the community WhatsApp group, which I found to be a great resource for additional support, networking, and further resources.”
Irene Vivanco, Menstruality Leader, 2026 training
“It opened my perspective on what it means to be trauma/somatic informed when offering ethical/responsible spaces for people. I feel more aware and equipped to notice and navigate what may come up as I step into holding space for others.
Especially as I transition my view as a leader from one of “teacher” to one of facilitator. I am grateful for your book, the resources accompanying the course, and that lens of inclusivity for all kinds of brains and nervous systems.”
Lorna O’Callaghan, Coach and Menstrual Educator, training 2026
“I would recommend this training because it offers a thoughtful blend of theory, reflection, community/peer support, and practical tools which can be applied immediately.
It has significantly deepened and supplemented my understanding of nervous systems, communication and embodied leadership, and I can feel its value already in my work in corporate leadership and team development as well as in my coaching practices... it applies to everyone!”

What training attendees said…
“It's well-paced and accessible to all regardless of previous experience in Somatic Practices. Tessa brings a vast knowledge delivered in a soothing and respectful manner. Thoroughly enjoyed this course.
— Jen Stedman“What was most helpful was the space to talk about embodied listening and the nervous system alongside such a stressful life period. What I valued most was your warmth Tessa and how you model holding space and you gentle humour and insights.”
— Diane King“It’s added to my tool kit for supporting clients, which I feel many counsellors would benefit from. It was not part of my counselling training, despite being so useful.”
